黃康迪，1999年生於香港。2021年畢業於香港中文大學，主修藝術創作及藝術史。黃康迪透過素描及現成物裝置，描寫自身脆弱的情感，並在城市裡尋找同病相憐的人。曾獲獎包括「莫氏立體創作獎」(2021)、「張氏藝術創作獎」(2021)、「陳啟豪校董藝術系獎學金」(2021)、 「丁衍庸學業成績獎」(2020)、「文物館館友會獎金」(2020) 等。黃康迪亦是藝術家群體「雞脾打人」的創辦人之一。

自身的情感與同病相憐

藝術家常以素描和日常物描述自身的情感，並藉著自己的作品，在城市中尋找身同感受的人。 他在城市中經歷了不少快速而短暫的親密關係，使他感到孤獨、陌生和被遺忘。他透過素描及混合媒介裝置，將這種難以言明的複雜情感以視覺形式呈現。在平面創作中，他常以介乎於機械和人性的重複動作、筆觸來敘述思念。 此外，他的創作經常使用日常物，因為他和它們最常相處也最自在。偶爾它們出現的狀態，會讓覺他覺得它們散發著無以名狀的傷感，例如兩件掛在一起的襯衫、被使用至空心的肥皂…等。他藉著與日常物相處，尋找它們的可能性。搖頭的風扇反覆拉扯著剌在床上的針線，電視循環播放着窗外的虛假風景，從狹縫中透進的燈光等，他對日常物細膩的觀察應用了在他的作品中，配合特定的場域敘述當下的情感。 他相信作品中這些失落感和孤獨感是在城市中被共享著的。

Wong Hong Tik, Issac (1995, Hong Kong) is a visual artist based in Hong Kong. Issac’s creations mainly narrate his own vulnerable emotions through drawings and ready-made objects. In addition to the attempt to confront his own struggles, he also hopes to search for people who feel the same in this city through his art. He received a degree in Fine Arts, art studio and art history streams, from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). He was awarded Y.S. Mok 3-Dimension Creative Award, Cheung’s Fine Arts Award, Mr. Kevin Chan Scholarship for the Department of Fine Arts, Ting Yen Yung Memorial Award, Friends of the Art Museum Prize etc. He is also one of the co-founder of the artist group Gabby & Darren.

Self and Shared Feelings

Issac’s creations mainly narrate his own vulnerable emotions through drawings and mixed media installation. He experienced a lot of rapid and short-lived intimacy in the city, which made him feel lonely, unfamiliar, and forgotten. He often aims to recreate these abstract emotions and atmospheres through drawings on cloth and paper and an installation with daily objects. In graphic creation, he often narrates his feeling of missing somebody with repetitive actions between mechanical and human nature. In addition, he often uses daily and ready-made objects in his creations because he gets along with them the most comfortable. Occasionally the state of their appearance makes him feel that they exude inexplicable sadness, such as two shirts hanging together, soap being used to a hollow… etc. He seeks out their possibilities by getting along with them. The oscillating fan repeatedly pulled the needle and thread on the bed; the TV cyclically played the false scenery outside the window; the light penetrating through the slits etc. His delicate observation of everyday scenes is applied to his works. He believes that these feelings of loss and loneliness in his works are shared in the city.
