楊思嘉 Sijia YANG

楊思嘉的創作從個人經驗和集體語境出發感知世界的狀態。她的作品跨越不同的維度,在圖像和空間的生產關系中探索互文的部分。2018年畢業於伊利諾伊大學厄巴納-尚佩恩,獲得景觀建築碩士及藝術史輔修學位。她的研究與策展實踐面向藝術介入社會的動蕩圖景,包括作為研究員參與的項目“創建場所與維持和平:後沖突時期的哥倫比亞”(2018),論文“帕特農神廟的景觀和景觀表達”獲Pauline Tilton Kennedy獎學金(2017),展覽“Ragehs A S:景觀的本質”,十方藝術中心,重慶(2019)“工作作書:OCAT出版的形狀”,abC藝術書展,OCAT上海(2020)。

串聯理論研究與藝術實踐,楊思嘉的作品探索客觀現實與想象現實的關系跨越,以動態影像為主,涉及多種媒介:文本、圖繪、電影、裝置、動畫。近期作品展出:安仁華僑城創意文化園(2018),Krannert Art Museum(2018),一介 · CAP社區藝術計劃(2019);載於Collecteurs Magazine(2018)。2021年她受邀參與藝術與社會創新實驗室駐留計劃。

 

Sijia Yang (b. 1994, Sichuan, China) works to approach the state of the world over intuitive reflection and collective dialogue. Her body of work navigates in different dimensions, exploring the interrelation of image-making and space-building. Graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (2018), Sijia Yang received a master’s degree in Landscape Architecture and a minor in Art History. Her research and practice focus on the shifting tensions in social development and socio-political and psychological landscapes. Recent projects include investigating “Placemaking and Peacekeeping in Post Conflict Colombia” (2018) as the research assistant, essay “Landscape and Landscape Representation in the Parthenon,” (2018) awarded the Pauline Tilton Kennedy Award, curating exhibitions: “Ragesh A S: On the Nature of Landscape” (2019), “Work-in-Book: the Shape of OCAT’S Publication” (2020).  Crossing research-intensive subjects and artistic experiments, Sijia Yang’s work spans the relationship amidst objective and imaginative reality through a variety of media: text, drawing, film, installation, animation, and, primarily, moving image. Exhibitions and screenings of Sijia Yang’s artworks have taken place at Anren OCT Creative Cultural Park, Chengdu, China (2018), Krannert Art Museum, Champaign, USA (2018), Yijie Gallery, Chengdu, China (2019). In 2021, Sijia Yang was invited for the Artist in Residency Program at the Art and Social Innovation Lab.
