文雅樂出生並成長於香港，2020年畢業於香港城市大學創意媒體學院。她對印刷媒體所帶來的敘述可能性深感興趣，尤其熱衷於製作小誌。攝影和錄像也是她喜歡用以創作的媒體。由近來開始對組織社區感興趣，期望可以找到自己的位置，最大限度地運用自己的所長為此付出。

Esther Man, born and raised in Hong Kong. She graduated from the School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong in 2020. She is particularly interested in the narrative possibility in printed medium, especially zines. Photography and videography are also media that she likes to use in her creation. Starting to be interested in community building lately, she hopes she could find her role and contribute as much as she can with her skills.

拿捏自身和題材的距離

留意並紀錄身邊自己覺得詫異、格格不入、或單純有深感受的事情、新聞，在感受最深的時候寫下關鍵詞，嘗試保留最原始的感受。

選擇一個有興趣的方向做資料搜索，和其他人提及正在研究的事情，尋找並與熟悉這方向的人溝通。情況許可的話，盡可能找渠道投身事件當中。

針對在寫虛構漫畫和小誌的情況下，我會先以文字編寫故事，並以草圖和散記補充。視乎故事的複雜性，在正式作畫前我會先請教朋友意見。

正式作畫的同時，我會給自己抽離的空間，有時候一個人長時間工作會對題材感到麻木。適時休息，甚至暫停所有與題材相關的活動攝取靈感，並不要停止與人溝通。即使是寫虛構故事，它的本質也是從現實啟發，溝通提醒創作者寫故事的本意，以不至於變得「離地」。

Calibrate the Distance between Self and the Topic

I pay attention and take record to issues and news that make me feel surprised or unsettled. I jot down keywords timely in order to preserve the initial feeling.

I pick a direction that interests me the most and do research based on it. I would mention this issue to other people, expecting to find someone familiar with it in order to exchange ideas. If circumstances permits, I would find a way to participate in person at the scene.

In the case of writing a fictional comic or a zine, I will start plotting a story in text form, supplemented with sketches. Depending on how complex the story is, I might consult my friends for opinions before starting to draw.

While I draw, I would sometimes pull myself away a bit in case keeping working for a long time might get myself numb. Take a rest when needed, or even pause any topic-related activities to gain inspiration elsewhere, but never stop communicating. Even for fictional writing, it essentially derives from the reality, communication reminds the creator about the original intention, instead of becoming ignorant.
