About the Ritual of Creative Practice

When I have a deadline, I sit alone in the studio and space out, trying to organise my thought, sometimes talk to myself, sometimes shout, sometimes hum; in that relaxing state, if I feel tired, I will take a nap (so the studio should have a sofa or a bed) and let the ideas surface.
Once the body has fully rested, it’s time to really get to work.
(I cannot make art) when I am nervous and upset.
